| Carlo Forte was born in Italy, graduating in Political Sciences from Pavia University. He worked as an economist in public corporations and privat companies. He also studied art in Milan. In 1976 , he arrived in Tenerife , fell in love with the island and has never left it. In the beginning he drew and painted portraits & landscapes of the Canaries, which were forerunners to colourful and luminous paintings with more intimacy and spirituality. “ The landscapes of the spirit “ fill their canvases with joy and intensity. It is a style of painting, that can be called to be “intuitive”, far from concrete or intellectual forms – simply something that “happens” out of a silent space of meditation. Carlo has exhibited in various galleries and museums in Europe , the USA, Latin America and more frequently on the island of Tenerife. Now, his rural house is considered as the ideal environment for a permanent exhibition of his works, stirring up great interest and admiration among guests. |
